statusとrankとgradeとpositionの違い
statusの意味は
「地位、身分」
です。

rankの意味は
「階級、地位、身分、列、を評価する」

gradeの意味は

statusとrankとgradeとpositionはいずれも地位や身分という意味があり、その違いは
statusは、社会的な地位という意味で、statusだけで高い地位という意味にもなります。
rankは、人と比較してどうかという意味での地位です。
gradeは、一歩一歩登っていくような階級での地位です。例えば学校の等級など。
positionは、組織や社会での地位のことです。例えば、会社での役職など。
日本語にすると、学校の先生は尊敬されて地位が高いと言うならstatusを使い、私は彼より地位が高いと言うならrankを使い、弟より自分が等級が上と言うならgradeを使い、課長の地位になったというならpositionを使います。
